Cathodic Protection Specialist

About the role

The Cathodic Protection Specialist will lead the design, installation, inspection and commissioning of cathodic protection (CP) systems for oil & gas projects in Kuwait. The role involves close coordination with clients, consultants and third‑party laboratories to ensure compliance with project quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications and conduct field inspections.
• Prepare QA/QC documentation, as‑built drawings and contract‑closing documents.
• Perform site surveys, collect data for CP scope and produce detailed reports, material specifications and bills of quantities.
• Inspect existing CP systems, remove and reinstall Mg anodes (17 lbs) and oversee installation, testing and commissioning of new CP systems.
• Conduct risk assessments, develop risk matrices and mitigation plans for procurement and construction activities.
• Develop project quality plans, method statements, ITPs and review all submittals.
• Coordinate with third‑party labs for test reports and produce monthly KPI reports.
• Liaise with clients and consultants to obtain document approvals.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in cathodic protection or related oil & gas engineering.
• Diploma or Engineering degree in Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) engineering.
• AMPP/NACE CP2 certification.
• Full‑time availability in Kuwait.
