Cementing Technical Engineer

About the role

The Technical Cementing Engineer will lead the design, engineering and execution of cementing operations for well construction projects across Kuwait. This role ensures effective zonal isolation, well integrity and long‑term performance while meeting safety, environmental and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Design primary, remedial and special cementing programs for drilling, casing, liner, completion, remedial and abandonment activities.
• Coordinate slurry testing with the cement laboratory and validate cement designs.
• Provide on‑site technical support during field operations and troubleshoot any cementing challenges.
• Act as the technical focal point for customers, communicating design intent and performance results.
• Conduct post‑job analysis, comparing planned versus actual execution and documenting lessons learned.
• Ensure compliance with API standards, ISO requirements, company QHSE policies and client specifications.
• Utilise cementing simulation software such as CEMPRO for design optimisation.
• Train field specialists and equipment operators on cementing best practices.
• Promote a strong safety culture by participating in risk assessments, JSA, toolbox talks and incident investigations.
