Chief Accountant & Cost Controller – Food & Beverage

About the role

WOW MILKY is looking for an experienced Chief Accountant & Cost Controller to lead accounting, financial reporting, and cost‑control functions across its central kitchen and branch network in Kuwait. The role blends office‑based financial leadership with regular, unannounced field visits to ensure cash and sales integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting activities: general ledger, AP/AR, bank and supplier reconciliations.
• Reconcile daily branch sales, POS, cash, KNET/card transactions and cash deposits.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end closing processes and prepare accurate financial statements and management reports.
• Conduct regular and surprise branch visits to perform cash counts, verify floats, petty cash and POS/KNET settlements.
• Review branch financial documents, investigate discrepancies and ensure corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain recipe, ingredient, packaging and product costing; monitor food‑cost percentages, yields, gross margins and profitability.
• Analyse cost variances, wastage and production losses; recommend cost‑saving measures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 6 years of accounting and cost‑control experience exclusively in the food & beverage sector.
• At least 3 years of hands‑on cost‑control experience in a central kitchen or food‑production environment.
• Professional proficiency in spoken and written Arabic and English.
• Willingness to conduct regular and unannounced field visits to all branches across Kuwait.
