Civil Inspector – Port Project

About the role

Egis is seeking an experienced Civil Inspector to join the team on a major port infrastructure project in Kuwait. The role focuses on ensuring that all construction activities meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform regular inspections and quality‑control checks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate daily with the contractor, supervision team, and discipline engineers to maintain smooth site progress.
• Verify that construction work complies with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and HSE requirements.
• Monitor workmanship, materials, equipment, and construction sequences for compliance with project standards.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, checklists, test results, and site diaries.
• Provide input for daily, weekly, and monthly site reports.
• Identify potential risks, delays, or constructability issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Track project schedules and budgets, suggesting adjustments when necessary.

Required profile

• University degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably on port or large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of civil construction methods and sequencing.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Excellent reporting, documentation, and communication skills.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented, and capable of early risk identification.
