Cluster Human Resources Director

About the role

The Cluster Human Resources Director will shape and execute the HR strategy for a group of IHG hotels in Kuwait, aligning people initiatives with overall business objectives. This senior leader will partner with General Managers and Executive Committees to foster a people‑first culture that drives exceptional guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the cluster HR strategy covering talent acquisition, learning & development, employee relations, payroll, government relations and HR operations.
• Coach senior hotel leaders on organisational development, succession planning and leadership effectiveness.
• Oversee annual colleague engagement surveys, onboarding programs, and action plans to improve results.
• Prepare and manage the annual HR budget, monitor labour costs, headcount and productivity, and ensure competitive compensation while maintaining financial discipline.
• Provide workforce analytics, labour forecasting and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce HR‑related costs.
• Champion a people‑first culture that supports service excellence and IHG’s brand values.
• Ensure compliance with Kuwait Labour Law, immigration requirements and IHG policies; lead employee relations investigations.
• Maintain relationships with educational institutions, government authorities, recruitment partners and local communities.
• Support HR needs during hotel openings, renovations and organisational change initiatives.

Required profile

• Extensive senior HR leadership experience, preferably within a multi‑hotel or hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of Kuwait labour legislation and immigration regulations.
• Proven ability to coach senior leaders and drive organisational development.
• Excellent analytical and financial management skills, with experience managing HR budgets and labour forecasting.
• Demonstrated track record in talent acquisition, employee engagement and succession planning.
