About the role
As a Commis Chef specializing in pastry and bakery at Grand Hyatt Kuwait City, you will support the outlet’s culinary team by preparing high‑quality baked goods and desserts while delivering consistent, excellent service to guests.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and present a variety of pastry and bakery items according to Hyatt International standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and workstations.
- Assist senior chefs with mise en place, stock rotation, and inventory control.
- Ensure timely service and adapt to the outlet’s operating concept.
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures at all times.
Required profile
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Commis Chef or 2 years as an apprentice in a hotel or restaurant with good standards.
- Basic culinary knowledge with a focus on pastry and bakery production.
- Strong understanding of hygiene and food safety practices.
