Database Administrator – Enterprise Data Platform

About the role

The Data Platform team is responsible for planning, implementing and operating enterprise database platforms that support critical business services. This role ensures high availability, performance and resilience of database environments while driving continuous improvement and adoption of modern database technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and support relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle and MySQL.
• Perform backup, recovery, performance monitoring and security administration.
• Troubleshoot and tune database performance across multiple platforms.
• Use database monitoring tools and conduct regular health checks.
• Document operational procedures and maintain accurate technical documentation.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively across projects.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of enterprise database environments supporting business‑critical applications.
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve performance issues.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and work with a variety of database technologies, including modern NoSQL and cloud solutions.

Required skills

• SQL querying, joins, subqueries, aggregations.
• Database design, normalization and schema design.
• Data modeling using ER diagrams.
• Indexing and query optimization.
• Understanding of transactions, ACID properties and disaster recovery concepts.
• Backup, recovery and restore operations.
• Database monitoring and performance tuning.
• User management and security controls.
