Director of Enterprise Applications

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Director of Enterprise Applications to shape the strategy, governance and continuous improvement of our enterprise business applications across a multi‑site organization in Kuwait. The role will drive digital transformation, ensure seamless integration of systems and support business growth through innovative technology solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute an enterprise applications strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
• Lead implementation, enhancement and support of enterprise business applications, overseeing the full SDLC.
• Drive digital transformation initiatives using automation, AI, analytics and modern cloud technologies.
• Ensure integration between enterprise applications and third‑party platforms.
• Manage cross‑functional technical teams responsible for development, support and integration.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify technology‑enabled process improvements.
• Oversee reporting, dashboards and data‑driven decision‑support solutions.
• Establish governance standards, policies and best practices for applications.
• Maintain application security, reliability, scalability and performance.
• Manage software vendors, licensing, contracts and technology partnerships.
• Lead project planning, budgeting, timelines and resource allocation.
• Promote innovation and continuous improvement across all enterprise applications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Information Systems or related field.
• 8–15 years of progressive experience in enterprise applications or business systems.
• Minimum 5 years in a leadership or management role.
• Proven experience managing ERP or other enterprise business applications.
• Strong background leading software development and application support teams.
• Experience with enterprise integrations, APIs and modern application architectures.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and enterprise technologies.
• Track record of delivering digital transformation initiatives.
• Understanding of AI technologies and practical enterprise applications.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in complex or multi‑entity organizations is highly preferred.
