Driver & Purchaser – Immediate Hire

About the role

This position combines driving duties with procurement responsibilities, ensuring that workshop, transport, maintenance and office departments receive the materials they need on time. The successful candidate will operate a company vehicle safely while sourcing and delivering supplies from local markets.

Key responsibilities

• Purchase workshop consumables, spare parts, tools and materials according to approved requisitions.
• Buy transport department items such as vehicle spares and consumables.
• Procure general office supplies and stationery.
• Collect price quotations from local vendors, submit them for approval and ensure proper invoicing.
• Deliver purchased items to the respective department/storekeeper and obtain acknowledgment.
• Maintain a daily log of purchases, expenses and receipts.
• Drive the company vehicle to markets, vendor locations and suppliers, keeping the vehicle clean and road‑worthy.
• Keep vehicle registration and insurance documents up to date.
• Report any pricing, quality or vendor reliability issues to the Purchase Manager.

Required profile

• Valid Kuwait light‑vehicle driving licence.
• 2–3 years of combined purchasing and driving experience, preferably in an industrial or workshop setting.
• Familiarity with local hardware shops, markets and spare‑parts suppliers.
• Basic knowledge of purchase documentation such as quotations, invoices and receipts.
• Good communication skills in Arabic and/or English.
• Trustworthy, detail‑oriented and capable of handling petty cash responsibly.
