Electrical Engineer – Design, Construction & Maintenance

About the role

The Electrical Engineer will lead the design, development and maintenance of electrical systems for new construction, renovations and improvement projects. The role focuses on delivering safe, reliable, cost-effective and sustainable solutions while supporting project objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Perform complete design work for real-property facilities, including power distribution networks, load calculations, fire alarm and site-lighting systems.
• Prepare design calculations, layouts, drawings and specifications using AutoCAD and power-system analysis tools.
• Develop cost estimates, schedules and technical reports; review and analyse preliminary and final designs for efficiency.
• Conduct construction inspections, quality-control reviews and submittal assessments beyond the expertise of construction managers.
• Supervise and coordinate electricians and tradespeople in installation, testing and maintenance of electrical equipment.
• Monitor project progress, ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations, and maintain clear communication with other trade supervisors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (licensed preferred).
• Minimum four years of design experience covering power distribution, load determination, interior/exterior electrical systems, fire alarm and lighting.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance (US citizenship required).
