Electrical Engineer - Oil & Gas

About the role

Anton Oilfield Services Group is hiring an Electrical Engineer for its On Sync Energy Management Services Company in Kuwait. The role covers the maintenance, inspection and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment in oil and gas facilities, with supervision of maintenance personnel and support of on-the-job training.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
• Inspect, test, troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment, protection systems, substations, transformers and distribution panels.
• Diagnose electrical faults with testing and analytical instruments and recommend system improvements.
• Maintain equipment data, preventive maintenance records and asset information in a CMMS, and plan preventive maintenance including manpower, materials, tools and spare parts.
• Prepare maintenance reports, shutdown analyses, failure investigations and corrective maintenance reports.
• Operate and maintain high- and low-voltage distribution networks according to operational procedures.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations, permit-to-work requirements and safe work practices.
• Provide technical guidance, supervise maintenance personnel and support on-the-job training; take part in emergency call-outs.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in electrical maintenance within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or Industrial sector.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or similar utility facilities.
• Strong leadership, analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.

Required skills

• Maintenance of electrical equipment, substations, transformers, switchgear and distribution panels.
• Experience with CMMS for asset and maintenance management.
• Preventive maintenance planning, fault diagnosis and equipment reliability.
• Troubleshooting electrical control systems, electronic circuits, microprocessor-based equipment and protection systems.
• Knowledge of electrical safety standards, permit-to-work systems and maintenance best practices.
