Electrical Engineer – Oil & Gas Maintenance

About the role

Anton Oilfield Services Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join its Energy Management Services team in Kuwait. The role focuses on maintaining and improving high‑ and low‑voltage electrical distribution networks across oil & gas and petrochemical facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair substations, transformers, switchgear, protection systems and distribution panels.
• Diagnose electrical faults using testing and analytical instruments and recommend improvements.
• Develop and maintain equipment data, preventive‑maintenance records and asset information in a CMMS.
• Plan preventive‑maintenance activities, including manpower, materials, tools and spare‑parts requirements.
• Prepare maintenance reports, shutdown analyses, failure investigations and corrective‑maintenance documentation.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations, permit‑to‑work requirements and safe work practices.
• Provide technical guidance, supervise maintenance personnel and support on‑the‑job training.
• Participate in emergency call‑out duties and drive continuous improvement of electrical maintenance activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of electrical maintenance experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or industrial sectors.
• At least 4 years of experience working in oil & gas or similar utility facilities.
• Strong knowledge of preventive‑maintenance planning, fault diagnosis and equipment reliability.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
