EMT Basic – Emergency Medical Services

About the role

The EMT Basic will join V2X's fire department in Kuwait, responding to fire, medical and related emergency calls, providing on‑scene care and supporting fire safety education.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain readiness for emergency call response and dispatch to fire, medical, and related incidents.
• Assess patients, obtain basic medical history, perform physical examinations, and deliver emergency care at the scene and during transport.
• Use medical equipment to evaluate injuries or illness and communicate patient status to paramedics and medical officers.
• Educate staff and the public on fire safety and prevention.

Required profile

• Nationally registered EMT‑Basic with CPR/BLS and First Aid certifications.
• Minimum 2 years experience in an emergency health‑care setting and on an emergency response ambulance.
• Ability to lift at least 100 lb and perform very heavy physical work, including shifts of days, swings and midnight hours.
• Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with medical equipment used in EMS assessments.
• Basic computer, copier and scanning skills; ability to learn new EMS inventory equipment.
