EMT Basic – Emergency Medical Technician in Kuwait

About the role

The EMT Basic will join V2X's fire department in Kuwait, providing emergency medical care and fire‑safety support. The role involves responding to fire, medical and related emergency calls, assessing patients, and delivering care on scene and during transport.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain readiness for emergency call response and attend fire, medical, and related incidents when dispatched.
• Obtain basic medical history, perform physical examinations, and provide emergency care at the scene and en route to the hospital.
• Use medical equipment to assess injuries or illness and communicate patient status to paramedics and the Medical Officer.
• Educate staff and the public on fire safety and prevention.

Required profile

• Nationally registered EMT‑Basic with CPR/BLS and First Aid certifications.
• Minimum two years of experience in an emergency health‑care setting and on an ambulance.
• Bachelor’s degree is an asset but not mandatory.
• Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with medical equipment and emergency response tools.
• Computer, copier and scanning skills; ability to learn new EMS inventory equipment.
• Physical ability to lift at least 100 lb and operate vehicles, stretchers, and other emergency apparatus.
