Environment Officer

About the role

The Environment Officer will be based on‑site in Kuwait, supporting HOT Engineering & Construction Co. (HOTECC) in delivering safe and sustainable construction, oil & gas and infrastructure projects. The role focuses on monitoring environmental performance, ensuring regulatory compliance and driving continuous improvement of environmental practices.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and report on environmental performance across all projects.
• Conduct environmental inspections, audits and impact assessments.
• Prepare documentation, reports and corrective‑action recommendations.
• Implement and maintain environmental management plans, waste‑management and pollution‑prevention measures.
• Collaborate with project managers, HSE teams and external authorities.
• Provide training and awareness sessions for staff.
• Support permit applications and regulatory submissions.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the company’s environmental policies.

Required profile

• Solid understanding of environmental regulations and standards applicable to construction, oil & gas and infrastructure.
• Experience in environmental monitoring, inspections, audits, impact assessments and reporting.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 environmental management systems.
• Strong analytical, documentation and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or a related field.
• Previous experience as an Environment Officer, preferably in Kuwait or the GCC.
• Ability to work on‑site in varying field conditions and follow safety procedures.
