Erection Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Erection Engineer to lead the installation and commissioning of indoor gas‑insulated switchgear (GIS) substation projects in Kuwait. The role involves supervising on‑site activities, coordinating with multiple subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Install indoor GIS substation equipment operating at 132 kV to 400 kV voltage levels.
• Supervise all on‑site substation activities in line with client requirements, quality standards, and safety measures.
• Coordinate with civil, fire‑fighting and HVAC subcontractors and resolve site‑related issues.
• Review construction drawings, interfacing layouts and related documentation to support execution.
• Manage bill of materials, quality plans and maintain daily reports, work schedules, manpower records and material requisitions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Kuwait standard).
• Minimum 7 years of experience in indoor GIS substation installation and supervision.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
