Field HSE Specialist – Mechanical Lifting SME

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Lifting Subject Matter Expert to join a major field development project in North Kuwait. This senior, high‑accountability position is embedded within a large‑scale integrated drilling and facilities operation and involves direct client interaction on all lifting and regulatory matters.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end Mechanical Lifting Programme, including planning, lift‑plan review, approval, categorisation and equipment register management.
• Oversee execution of critical and non‑routine lifts across multiple drilling contractors.
• Maintain direct interface with the client Lifting Authority to ensure plan submission and regulatory compliance.
• Assess competency and supervise lifting crews on simultaneous contracts.
• Manage audit and compliance activities from pad construction through well testing and production.
• Hold LEEA Appointed Person certification (or equivalent) and ensure its application throughout the project.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of dedicated Mechanical Lifting supervisory or SME experience in on‑shore oil & gas environments.
• Proven track record managing lifting programmes in multi‑contractor settings.
• Experience with Dropped Objects Prevention programmes and DROPS system auditing is a strong advantage.
