Financial Audit Manager

About the role

The Financial Audit Manager will lead the delivery of audit and related services from the receipt of the engagement letter through to successful project closure. The role ensures compliance with professional standards, drives team performance, and enhances client value.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain mastery of International Standards on Auditing (ISA), IFRS, and relevant Kuwaiti laws (Companies Law, Employment Law, Capital Markets Authority regulations).
• Prepare the department’s annual promotional plan, technical and financial proposals, and client engagement letters.
• Supervise audit engagements, provide on‑site support, and produce monthly portfolio and resource reports.
• Lead audit teams, allocate tasks based on competence, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to audit standards.
• Develop team capabilities through regular training and on‑the‑job guidance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (Master’s degree advantageous).
• Professional qualification such as CPA, CA or equivalent; CISA is a plus.
• 12–15 years of experience in financial audit, preferably with a Big Four firm.
• Proven experience managing audit teams and diversified audit portfolios across multiple sectors.
