Food Service Supervisor

About the role

The Food Service Supervisor will be based in Kuwait supporting the LOGCAP program. Reporting to the DFAC Manager, the role oversees kitchen operations, food preparation, inventory, and the sub‑contractor workforce to ensure safe, high‑quality meals for a military dining facility.

Key responsibilities

• Manage sub‑contractors for food preparation, serving, cashier operations, and cleanliness of dining areas, kitchens, and storage in accordance with PWS and SOPs.
• Ensure proper cooking techniques and HACCP procedures are followed, complying with TB MED 530 and related regulations.
• Maintain equipment accountability, serviceability, and stock ordering.
• Schedule, train, and supervise the sub‑contractor workforce, ensuring compliance with DFAC requirements.
• Enforce all safety policies and regulations, and perform additional duties as required.

Required profile

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum five years food‑service experience in a military or cafeteria‑style operation.
• At least two years experience supervising food‑service staff.
• SERV SAFE certification is mandatory.
• Ability to obtain and retain a Common Access Card (CAC) for government systems.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
• Knowledge of AFMIS, STORES, and inventory control systems.
• Understanding of HACCP, FM‑10‑23‑2, DA Pam 30‑22, TB MED 530, and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Food Code standards.
