Fortinet Security Specialist

About the role

KalSoft is seeking an experienced Fortinet Security Specialist to join its team. You will be responsible for implementing, managing, and supporting Fortinet‑based security infrastructure across enterprise environments, ensuring reliable and secure operations.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, manage and support FortiGate firewalls and related Fortinet solutions.
• Monitor network security infrastructure, handle security events and operational alerts.
• Perform firewall policy management, VPN configuration, and security rule optimization.
• Investigate and resolve security incidents, conduct root‑cause analysis.
• Support intrusion prevention, web filtering, antivirus, and application control.
• Manage secure remote‑access and site‑to‑site VPN connectivity.
• Conduct security assessments, vulnerability reviews and compliance checks.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and operations teams for security implementations.
• Assist with backup, disaster recovery and business continuity activities related to security systems.
• Maintain technical documentation, network diagrams and operational reports.
• Apply patch management, firmware upgrades and scheduled maintenance.
• Participate in security improvement and operational enhancement projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience, with at least 3 years in network security or firewall administration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity or a related field.
• Fortinet NSE4 and/or NSE5 certification (mandatory).
• Experience in enterprise, government or banking environments is preferred.
• Experience in managed services or 24x7 operational support is an advantage.
• Eligibility for legal sponsorship in Kuwait/GCC or residence in the region.
