Freelance Quantum Research Scientist (Python)

About the role

We are looking for a freelance Quantum Research Scientist with strong Python skills to design and develop computational physics problems for AI testing projects. This project‑based role is remote and focuses on creating realistic, research‑driven challenges for advanced AI systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design original computational physics problems that emulate real research workflows.
• Create Python‑based problem sets using NumPy, SciPy, and SymPy.
• Ensure problems are computationally intensive and cannot be solved manually within days or weeks.
• Develop challenges across mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics.
• Base tasks on genuine research questions or practical physics applications.
• Validate solutions with Python and standard physics simulation libraries.
• Document problem statements clearly and provide verified correct answers.

Required profile

• Degree in Physics (theoretical, experimental, or computational) or a related field.
• 2+ years of professional experience in research, applied physics, or teaching.
• Strong written English proficiency (C1+).
• Creative thinking and ability to design problems that mirror real research workflows.
