Full/Associate/Assistant Professor of Accounting

About the role

The School of Business at American International University seeks a full‑time faculty member in Accounting at the rank of Full Professor, Associate Professor or Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses, develop curriculum, conduct research, and contribute to the university community.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver innovative undergraduate courses in Accounting and a related Business discipline such as Finance.
• Integrate emerging technologies, including AI‑assisted design tools and interactive platforms, into teaching.
• Develop and update course materials to meet industry standards and accreditation requirements.
• Supervise senior projects, assess student performance, and provide academic advising.
• Maintain an active research agenda, publish in peer‑reviewed journals, and present at conferences.
• Participate in departmental, school and university committees, accreditation activities, and community outreach.

Required profile

• PhD in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum five years of university‑level teaching experience for Associate and Full Professor ranks, with demonstrated teaching excellence.
• Strong professional or research background in Accounting or related Business disciplines.
• Evidence of peer‑reviewed publications and/or recognized professional practice.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
• Experience working effectively in multicultural academic environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with industry‑standard accounting software.
• Knowledge of AI implementation and AI‑assisted design tools.
