General Pediatrics Physician

About the role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced General Pediatrician to provide comprehensive medical care to infants, children, and adolescents. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating pediatric conditions, providing preventive healthcare, monitoring growth and development, and supporting parents and caregivers with appropriate medical guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive pediatric consultations, medical examinations, and health assessments.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic pediatric conditions.
• Monitor children’s growth, development, nutrition, and overall health.
• Provide routine immunizations, preventive care, and health screenings.
• Assess and manage common pediatric emergencies and deliver initial care when required.
• Prescribe medications and treatment plans in line with clinical guidelines.
• Counsel parents and caregivers on nutrition, vaccination, child development, hygiene, and general health.
• Identify developmental, behavioral, and nutritional concerns and recommend interventions or referrals.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential patient medical records.
• Coordinate patient care with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Ensure compliance with applicable clinical, ethical, and healthcare regulations in Kuwait.
• Participate in continuous professional development and stay updated on pediatric best practices.

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
• Postgraduate qualification in Pediatrics or an equivalent recognized pediatric qualification.
• Relevant clinical experience as a General Pediatrician in a hospital, clinic, or healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of pediatric diagnosis, treatment, preventive medicine, and child development.
• Excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with children and their parents or caregivers.
• Strong commitment to patient safety, quality care, and professional ethics.
