Head Chef – Japanese Cuisine (Kuwait)

About the role

We are launching a new Japanese delivery concept in Kuwait and seek an experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen. The role involves creating authentic Japanese dishes, managing a high‑volume operation and ensuring consistent quality.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the menu for the Japanese concept, including sushi, sashimi, ramen, donburi, tempura, yakitori, udon, katsu and other specialties.
• Oversee daily kitchen operations in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
• Manage kitchen staff, schedule shifts and provide training and mentorship.
• Control food costs, maintain inventory, and ensure accurate recipe standardisation.
• Uphold food safety and hygiene standards at all times.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of professional experience in Japanese cuisine.
• Proven track record of developing Japanese restaurant concepts and menus.
• Strong leadership and kitchen management abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high quality and consistency.
