Head of Traditional Trade Channel

About the role

We are looking for a commercially driven Head of Traditional Trade Channel to lead and grow the groceries, mini‑markets, and petroleum food marts segment. You will be responsible for channel strategy, distribution expansion, profitability and execution excellence across these outlet types.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement an annual Traditional Trade strategy, defining outlet segmentation, coverage plans and geographic growth priorities.
• Lead sales supervisors, representatives and van‑sales teams to achieve monthly and annual volume, distribution and revenue targets, improving numeric distribution, drop size and rate of sale.
• Build strong relationships with independent retailers and petroleum convenience operators, negotiating visibility spaces, chillers and promotional execution.
• Manage route‑to‑market planning, outlet frequency and territory alignment, implementing SFA tools for accurate order capture.
• Ensure in‑store commercial execution compliance on product availability, pricing, activation, cooler utilization and POSM deployment.
• Provide demand planning inputs, monitor credit exposure, channel profitability and SKU mix, delivering regular performance reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or a related field.
• 7–10 years of FMCG sales experience with strong exposure to groceries and mini‑markets.
• Fluent in English and Arabic.

Required skills

• Proven success in driving distribution and sales velocity in impulse‑driven environments.
• Strong leadership, negotiation and analytical abilities.
• Experience managing a field sales force and RTM execution standards.
• Proficiency with sales systems, routing tools and reporting dashboards.
