HR Business Advisor – University (Kuwait)

About the role

The HR Business Advisor will act as the primary liaison between the university’s departments and the Human Resources team. Based in Kuwait City, the role focuses on delivering HR support, ensuring smooth employee experiences, and aligning HR initiatives with departmental goals.

Key responsibilities

• Track and monitor attendance records, maintaining accurate data.
• Manage leave requests in line with university policies.
• Lead termination meetings and handle resignations according to university requirements.
• Participate in recruiting efforts, sourcing and attracting talent for assigned departments.
• Collaborate with HR to align strategies with departmental objectives.
• Oversee onboarding and off‑boarding processes for new hires and departing staff.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with departmental and divisional leaders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field; HR certification preferred.
• 3–5 years of HR experience, preferably in higher education or a similar environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive conversations professionally.
• Strong organizational abilities and adaptability in a multicultural setting.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HRIS/ATS platforms, specifically BambooHR.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office applications.
