Human Resources Manager (Hotel)

About the role

The Human Resources Manager will lead the HR function for an IHG hotel in Kuwait, partnering with the General Manager and department heads to execute the people strategy and support business objectives. You will oversee recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with local labour laws, ensuring a positive workplace culture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the hotel’s HR function and partner with the General Manager and department heads to deliver the people strategy.
• Manage recruitment, selection, onboarding and workforce planning to attract and retain talent.
• Oversee employee relations, including performance reviews, grievances, disciplinary matters and investigations.
• Drive colleague engagement, recognition and wellbeing initiatives such as surveys, town halls and celebration programmes.
• Supervise payroll‑related processes, attendance, leave, benefits and ensure compliance with Kuwait Labour Law.
• Monitor headcount, productivity, HR budgets and produce key HR metrics reports to support management decisions.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of HR experience, preferably in a hotel environment.
• Good understanding of HR processes including recruitment, onboarding, attendance, payroll support and employee relations.
• Knowledge of Kuwait Labour Law and local employment practices.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills with high attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and comfort using HR systems and digital platforms.
