Infrastructure Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Infrastructure Specialist Engineer to deliver onsite technical support, administration, and maintenance of enterprise IT infrastructure. The role involves designing and implementing solutions across Lenovo, VMware, Nutanix, Microsoft, and Red Hat environments while advising clients on modernization and hybrid cloud strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct customer workshops, assessments, and infrastructure audits to identify challenges and future requirements.
• Design and implement infrastructure solutions based on Lenovo systems, VMware virtualization, Nutanix HCI, Microsoft, and Red Hat technologies.
• Provide advisory services on cloud adoption, hybrid cloud integration, and infrastructure transformation.
• Lead deployment projects, including migrations, upgrades, capacity expansions, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with pre‑sales teams to validate designs and contribute to solutioning.
• Act as subject‑matter expert for Lenovo data‑centre solutions, VMware, Microsoft services, and Red Hat workloads.
• Document architecture, designs, implementation steps, and handover materials.
• Deliver knowledge‑transfer sessions and technical training to client IT teams.
• Advise on governance, compliance, security, backup, and disaster‑recovery strategies.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, develop proof‑of‑concepts, and recommend adoption strategies.

Required profile

• University degree in Computer, IT, Electronics or a related field.
• VMware VCP 7 (or higher) certification.
• Minimum four (4) years of experience installing, customizing, and maintaining advanced VMware solutions and critical SAN environments, preferably in the banking sector.
• Experience administering SAN storage, VPLEX, Cisco UCS, Microsoft Windows Server (2008‑2022), Microsoft SQL Server (2008‑2019), and Red Hat Linux.
• Dell Solution Architect certification (mid‑range) and hands‑on experience with Nutanix AHV, Prism Central, Nutanix Files/Objects, cluster scaling, and DR.
• Ability to work independently and as part of an IT team.
