Instrumentation Engineer

About the role

Anton Oilfield Services Group is hiring an Instrumentation Engineer for its On Sync Energy Management Services Company in Kuwait. The role supervises and leads instrumentation and control maintenance teams and keeps industrial control systems running safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Lead instrumentation and control maintenance teams and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance of instrumentation, control systems and protective devices.
• Maintain and troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, electronic and electrical instrumentation and control systems, and PLC, DCS, SCADA, ESD, fire and gas detection systems.
• Develop preventive maintenance programs and coordinate instrument testing, calibration, repair and maintenance planning.
• Maintain equipment records, asset information and maintenance documentation in a CMMS, and keep as-built drawings, technical documentation and equipment catalogs up to date.
• Diagnose faults, prepare maintenance reports, shutdown analyses, failure investigations and equipment history records, and ensure compliance with safety standards and permit-to-work procedures.
• Coordinate audit compliance and deliver technical training and induction programs for maintenance personnel.
• Monitor maintenance performance and report on manpower utilization, spare parts consumption and maintenance activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in instrumentation and control system maintenance, including 4 years in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or similar process facilities.
• Strong leadership, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Required skills

• Field instrumentation, PLC, DCS, SCADA, ESD and fire and gas systems.
• CMMS for asset and maintenance management.
• Preventive maintenance, calibration, fault diagnosis and instrumentation reliability.
• Technical documentation, equipment records and as-built drawings.
