Inventory Control Supervisor

About the role

The Inventory Control Supervisor will lead the management of inventory records, ensuring stock integrity and supporting efficient warehouse and distribution operations for a leading retail business. This role is pivotal in minimizing losses, reducing discrepancies, and maintaining high availability of products across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular cycle counts.
• Control inventory movements, batch and expiry tracking, and return processes.
• Coordinate with warehouse, sales, procurement, finance, and logistics teams.
• Generate timely and accurate inventory reports and reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, operational controls, and inventory governance.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of proven experience in inventory management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field (preferred).
• Strong analytical abilities for data collection, reporting, and order quantity determination.
• Familiarity with inventory or supply‑chain certifications is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP software for real‑time data integration.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with inventory management systems and barcode scanning.
• Knowledge of FEFO/FIFO inventory methods and cycle‑count procedures.
• Ability to produce inventory reporting and analytics.
