IT Engineer – Port and Terminal Infrastructure

About the role

Egis Group is seeking an experienced IT Engineer to design, implement, and maintain critical IT infrastructure for port and terminal operations in Kuwait. You will work with mission‑critical systems in a fast‑paced environment, ensuring reliability and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain servers, networks and storage solutions supporting port and terminal operations.
• Monitor and optimise system performance to maximise uptime and operational efficiency.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues, including SCADA and industrial control systems.
• Implement and enforce security protocols and cybersecurity measures.
• Manage network architecture, including configuration, maintenance and upgrades of networking equipment.
• Collaborate with terminal operations teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Conduct regular system audits, performance analysis and document configurations, procedures and changes.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of professional experience in IT infrastructure management and system administration.
• Proven experience with port, terminal or maritime technology systems.
• Strong knowledge of network administration, TCP/IP, routing, switching and firewall management.
• Hands‑on experience with SCADA and industrial control systems.
• Proficiency with virtualization platforms and cloud infrastructure technologies.
• Experience with system monitoring and management tools.
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and critical infrastructure protection.
• Knowledge of database management and backup/disaster recovery solutions.
