About the role

The IT Support Officer provides first‑line and second‑line technical assistance to ensure the smooth operation of the company’s IT environment. You will resolve hardware, software and network issues quickly while maintaining system reliability and security.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for hardware, software, network and application problems.
  • Install, configure and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, scanners and mobile devices.
  • Set up user accounts, email access and system permissions.
  • Monitor LAN, internet connectivity and basic server operations.
  • Perform routine system checks, updates, backups and security patching.
  • Maintain inventory of IT equipment and software licences.
  • Document procedures, configurations and troubleshooting guides.
  • Support implementation of IT security policies and ensure compliance.
  • Coordinate with vendors for repairs, upgrades and project roll‑outs.
  • Deliver basic user training on IT systems and applications.

Required profile

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft or Cisco are a plus.
  • 1–3 years of experience in an IT support or help‑desk role.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain technical issues to non‑technical users.
  • Good time‑management and ability to handle multiple tasks.
