IT System Administrator – Kuwait

About the role

We are looking for a proactive System Administrator to manage and optimise our IT infrastructure in Kuwait. The successful candidate will ensure the stability, security and performance of servers, networks and cloud services while providing technical support to internal users.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain Windows and Linux servers.
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and user accounts.
• Monitor system performance, availability and security, and perform patch management.
• Administer virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper‑V.
• Manage Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Azure AD and related cloud services.
• Implement backup, disaster recovery solutions and conduct regular recovery testing.
• Configure, monitor and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, VPN, firewalls and other network devices.
• Apply cybersecurity best practices, including endpoint protection and vulnerability management.
• Maintain IT asset inventory, documentation and support hardware/software deployments.
• Provide second‑ and third‑level support and participate in after‑hours maintenance when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3–5 years of experience as a System Administrator or in a comparable IT infrastructure role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration and Linux basics.
• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and Microsoft 365.
• Hands‑on experience with virtualization (VMware or Hyper‑V).
• Good understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPN, routing, switching).
• Familiarity with backup/disaster recovery, endpoint security and firewall management.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS is an advantage.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Bash.
