Junior Engineer – Risk & Safety

About the role

The Junior Engineer – Risk & Safety will support the preparation, execution and review of environmental and safety assessment studies for client projects. You will work closely with the HSE Manager, consultants and the BV Kuwait team to ensure high‑quality deliverables that meet contractual and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and validate environmental and safety assessment studies, selecting appropriate methodologies.
• Execute HSE studies, produce detailed reports and ensure compliance with BV and client QHSSE rules.
• Estimate man‑days for proposals and tenders, and assist in data collection for quoting.
• Coordinate with BV Kuwait, other BV network offices and external consultants throughout project execution.
• Attend client meetings, site visits and sessions to clarify scope and gather required information.
• Maintain project schedules, address comments from clients/contractors, and support the HSE Manager with assigned tasks.

Required profile

• Graduate Engineer with ≥5 years experience, or Post‑graduate Engineer with ≥3 years, or Ph.D. with ≥1 year in HSE.
• Proven experience in safety studies such as HAZOP, HAZID, QRA, SIL, PHSER.
• Experience with risk assessment/process safety software or environmental modelling software, depending on focus.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
