Junior Health Informatics Officer

About the role

This position supports the integration of clinical workflows with information technology, focusing on the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. The Junior Health Informatics Officer will act as a bridge between clinicians and IT teams to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the liaison between clinical teams and the IT department to capture user needs and improve EMR workflows.
• Assist in designing, testing, implementing, and enhancing EMR functions and related clinical processes.
• Analyze healthcare data and processes to identify opportunities for improved patient care and efficiency.
• Provide training and ongoing support to physicians, nurses, and other staff on effective EMR usage.
• Monitor EMR usage, data quality, and user adoption to ensure accurate documentation and reporting.
• Develop user guides, training materials, and workflow improvements based on best practices.
• Collaborate with clinical, Health Information Management (HIM), and IT teams to deliver reliable health information solutions.
• Ensure compliance with quality, patient safety, and organizational standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Information Technology, or a related medical/healthcare field.
• 2‑3 years of experience in health informatics or a healthcare environment.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare information systems.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to thrive in a fast‑paced setting.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Age below 35.
