Lifting Equipment Inspector – Full‑time On‑site in Kuwait

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Lifting Equipment Inspector to join our team in Kuwait on a full‑time, on‑site basis. The role involves ensuring the safety and compliance of cranes and lifting equipment used in oil & gas operations.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and examine cranes and lifting equipment.
• Perform measurements, testing, and condition assessments.
• Identify defects, damage, wear, deterioration, and non‑conformities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, regulations, and client requirements.
• Prepare accurate and comprehensive inspection reports.
• Provide technical support and guidance on lifting equipment safety.
• Conduct relevant training courses where qualified.

Required profile

• Bachelor degree in Engineering.
• 3–5 years of oil & gas experience in crane and lifting equipment inspection.
• Strong knowledge of ASME, ANSI, BSI and API standards.
• LEEA Entry plus two LEEA Diplomas, or equivalent.
• Offshore crane inspection experience/approval according to BS 7121, API Spec 2C and API RP 2D (preferred).
• NDT Level II – Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) & Ultrasonic Testing (UT).
• Previous experience with KOC, MEW or other major GCC clients (advantage).
• Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17020 accreditation requirements (preferred).
• Trainer/Instructor certification for operator, rigger, scaffolding or HSE/safety training (advantage).

Required skills

• Crane and lifting equipment inspection.

• LEEA certification (Entry and two Diplomas).
• NDT Level II – MPI and UT.
• Understanding of BS 7121, API Spec 2C, API RP 2D.
• ISO/IEC 17020 accreditation familiarity.
