Manufacturing Development Manager

About the role

ABYAT is seeking a Manufacturing Development Manager to lead the end‑to‑end industrialisation of new products in its Kuwait factory. You will work closely with R&D, commercial, engineering, procurement and external suppliers to turn concepts into manufacturable, cost‑effective products across wood, steel, glass and marble disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the transition of new product concepts into production‑ready items.
• Coordinate with R&D during product development and assess manufacturability.
• Manage prototype development, testing and validation, both internally and with external vendors.
• Identify, qualify and monitor prototype suppliers, negotiating technical requirements.
• Develop manufacturing plans, ensure production lines are ready, coordinate tooling and optimise processes.
• Interpret engineering drawings, review production drawings for manufacturability and recommend design improvements.
• Serve as the liaison between R&D, commercial, product management and manufacturing teams.
