Mechanical Technician – Maintenance (Kuwait)

About the role

The Mechanical Technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a range of mechanical equipment in an industrial setting in Kuwait. The role involves ensuring equipment reliability through preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance while adhering to safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance on mechanical systems such as pumps, motors, compressors, valves, gearboxes and fans.
• Inspect equipment regularly, identify faults, wear and potential failures, and document findings.
• Diagnose mechanical problems, troubleshoot issues and perform necessary repairs or component replacements.
• Dismantle, assemble, adjust, align and replace mechanical parts using hand and power tools.
• Conduct routine functional checks to verify safe and efficient operation of equipment.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, including inspections, repairs and spare parts usage.
• Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and coordinate with supervisors and other maintenance teams.
• Follow company procedures, occupational health and safety regulations and maintain a clean work area.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years’ hands‑on experience in mechanical equipment maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team under pressure.
• Physically fit and able to work in maintenance environments, including shift, weekend or overtime as needed.
• Good understanding of occupational health and safety requirements.

Required skills

• Mechanical equipment maintenance and repair.
• Troubleshooting and fault‑finding of pumps, motors, compressors, valves, gearboxes and fans.
• Reading and interpreting basic mechanical drawings and equipment manuals.
• Proficient use of hand tools, power tools and measuring instruments.
