Mid-Level Accountant – Finance Department

About the role

Wajda Group is seeking a proactive, detail‑oriented Accountant to join its Finance Department in Kuwait. The role involves managing the general ledger, cash flow, budgeting and supporting month‑end and year‑end closing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the General Ledger and record all financial transactions accurately.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including bank reconciliations.
• Produce daily, weekly and monthly cash‑flow forecasts and monitor liquidity.
• Support working‑capital management, payment planning and fund utilisation.
• Perform budget‑vs‑actual variance analysis and prepare management reports.
• Maintain fixed‑asset register, depreciation schedules and assist with payroll accounting.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, VAT regulations and internal controls, and support internal and external audits.
• Record and manage transactions using ERP systems, preferably Odoo.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in Telecom, Contracting, Engineering or Trading & Sales.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CMA, CPA or CA (part‑qualified or qualified) is an advantage.
• Proven experience in cash‑flow management, budgeting and financial forecasting.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and VAT regulations.
