Mid-Level Accountant

About the role

Wajda Group is seeking a proactive, detail‑oriented accountant to join its Finance Department in Kuwait. The role focuses on accurate financial recording, cash flow management, and supporting budgeting and reporting activities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the General Ledger and ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including receivable aging and collection follow‑ups.
• Perform bank reconciliations and keep financial records up to date.
• Develop daily, weekly and monthly cash‑flow forecasts and monitor liquidity.
• Support working‑capital management, payment planning and fund utilization.
• Coordinate cash‑flow forecasting and financial planning with management.
• Conduct budget‑vs‑actual variance analysis and produce management reports.
• Maintain the fixed‑asset register and depreciation schedules.
• Assist with payroll accounting and month‑end / year‑end closing activities.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, VAT regulations, company policies and internal controls.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Record and manage transactions using ERP systems, preferably Odoo.
• Contribute to annual budgeting, financial planning and other finance‑related projects.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 5–7 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Professional qualification (ACCA, CMA, CPA or CA – part qualified or qualified).
• Proven experience in cash‑flow management, budgeting and financial forecasting.
• Experience in Telecom, Contracting, Engineering or Trading & Sales sectors is preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and VAT regulations.
• Ability to work independently and meet reporting deadlines.
