MS Purview DLP Subject Matter Expert (12‑month contract)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Engineer/Analyst to lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of our enterprise DLP solutions across endpoints, networks, and cloud environments in Kuwait.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain enterprise DLP tools (Microsoft Purview, Symantec, Forcepoint) ensuring high availability and performance.
• Design, configure, and fine‑tune DLP policies to meet data‑protection requirements while reducing false positives/negatives.
• Monitor DLP alerts in real time, perform triage, investigate incidents, and coordinate escalation with security teams.
• Integrate DLP with SIEM, SOAR and other security platforms, collaborating closely with SOC and cybersecurity teams.
• Develop automation scripts (Python, PowerShell) and API‑based integrations to enhance DLP functionality.
• Document policies, procedures, and incident handling; generate regular reports on DLP effectiveness and trends.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in DLP, cybersecurity operations or information security.
• Proven hands‑on experience with enterprise DLP solutions such as Microsoft Purview, Symantec DLP, or Forcepoint.
• Strong knowledge of data classification, protection, and privacy principles.
• Experience with SIEM tools and security‑operations workflows.
