Online Content Manager (Junior)

About the role

The European Union DG MENA is creating a short‑term pool of Junior Non‑Key Experts to support its communication outreach on EU policies across North Africa, the Middle East and the Gulf. As an Online Content Manager you will ensure that the project’s website and digital platforms are up‑to‑date, user‑friendly and aligned with EU branding, helping to increase the visibility and impact of EU initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and update website and online platform content using Content Management Systems (CMS).
• Draft, edit and publish web content in line with communication objectives and editorial guidelines.
• Ensure content accuracy, accessibility and user‑friendliness.
• Coordinate with communication specialists, designers and technical teams to publish multimedia material.
• Support digital communication campaigns through online channels.
• Monitor website performance and assist with basic web analytics and reporting.
• Maintain content consistency, quality and compliance with EU branding standards.
• Assist with content planning, quality assurance and routine website maintenance.

Required profile

• Degree (or equivalent) in communication, journalism, web content or a related field.
• Fluent English.
• At least 2 years of general experience in online communication.
• Minimum 1 year of specific experience managing website or online content.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS).
• Basic web analytics knowledge.
• Ability to follow editorial guidelines and EU branding standards.
