On‑Site Support Engineer (Kuwait)

About the role

The company is looking for an On‑Site Support Engineer to provide technical support across multiple locations in Kuwait. The role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows servers and clients, handling system imaging, updates, and supporting custom applications.

Key responsibilities

• Install and configure MS‑Windows Server and client operating systems.
• Deploy system images and manage system updates and releases.
• Install and configure MS‑SQL databases.
• Provide custom application support, including troubleshooting, diagnostics, and log collection.
• Ensure high performance and availability of all systems.
• Install, support, and troubleshoot hardware such as workstations, printers, and kiosks.
• Install, route, and terminate structured cabling (CAT5e, CAT6, CAT7, RS232, RS485) and perform cable testing.
• Perform basic electrical measurements and install UPS systems.
• Conduct site surveys, assess installation sites, and coordinate team activities to meet timelines.
• Adhere to health, safety, and quality standards during all installation activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in IT support or a closely related technical role.
• Valid Kuwait residence permit.
• Valid Kuwait driving license and personal vehicle.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field.
• Willingness to travel to physical sites as operational needs arise.
• Availability to participate in an on‑call rotation for after‑hours support.

Required skills

• Windows Server and Windows client OS installation and configuration.
• MS‑SQL installation and basic configuration.
• System imaging and update deployment.
• Structured cabling (CAT5e, CAT6, CAT7, RS232, RS485) installation and testing.
• Hardware installation and troubleshooting (PCs, printers, kiosks).
• Electrical measurement using multimeters and clamp meters.
• UPS installation and configuration.
• Basic networking connectivity verification.
