Orthopedic Shoulder & Elbow Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Orthopedic Shoulder & Elbow Specialist to join our Orthopedics department at Taiba Hospital. The role involves delivering safe, evidence‑based care to patients with shoulder and elbow conditions, ensuring high satisfaction and quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients through history, physical exam, imaging and other diagnostics to establish consultant‑level diagnoses.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including surgical and non‑surgical options, office‑based procedures such as joint aspiration, injections and fracture reduction.
• Manage the full peri‑operative pathway from pre‑operative assessment to postoperative recovery.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated management, safe discharge and continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate, timely JCI‑compliant documentation and participate in MDT case reviews and quality initiatives.

Required profile

• MBBS/MBBCh with a Master’s in Orthopedics and MOHE‑approved Fellowship/Board Certification.
• Minimum 9 years post‑fellowship experience, with specific fellowship or training in Shoulder and Elbow.
• Demonstrated expertise in upper‑limb anatomy, biomechanics, pathology, advanced arthroscopy and reconstructive arthroplasty.
• Strong imaging interpretation skills (MRI, CT arthrography, ultrasound) and proficiency in ultrasound‑guided injections and rehabilitation protocols.
