Patient Access Representative – Rehab

About the role

Southcoast Health is seeking a Patient Access Representative for its Outpatient Rehab unit in Fall River. The role involves welcoming patients, managing appointments, and supporting the rehab team during regular day‑shift hours.

Key responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors, verify insurance information, and collect necessary documentation.
• Schedule and confirm rehabilitation appointments using the clinic’s scheduling system.
• Process patient registrations, update records, and ensure accurate data entry.
• Assist with billing inquiries and coordinate with the finance department as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized front‑desk area, adhering to privacy and compliance standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in health administration is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Ability to work the 9:00 am – 5:30 pm day shift on a per‑diem basis.
• Experience in a healthcare or patient‑service environment preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with basic computer applications and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Accurate data entry and attention to detail.
