About the role
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) provides basic patient care, monitoring, and hygiene assistance on the 2nd Floor Rehab unit during night shifts. This role is essential to the patient care team, requiring compassion, strong communication, and a proactive attitude.
Key responsibilities
- Assist patients and families with basic care, hygiene, and monitoring.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Provide education on CPR, skills training, crucial conversations, and hospitality in healthcare.
Required profile
- Completion of 12 college credit hours including English Composition (C or higher) with a minimum 2.0 GPA (transcripts verified).
- Healthcare or service industry experience preferred but not required.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and night shift (6:30 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.).
- Strong organization, verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to learn and apply new healthcare-related skills.
- Proactive problem‑solving and anticipation of patient needs.
- Effective collaboration with the healthcare team.
