About the role
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) supports patients and families on the 2nd Floor Rehab unit by providing basic care, monitoring, and hygiene assistance. The role is integral to the patient care team, requiring compassion, strong communication, and the ability to work closely with healthcare professionals.
Key responsibilities
- Assist patients and families with basic care tasks, monitoring, and hygiene to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team, maintaining clear and consistent communication with patients, families, and staff.
Required profile
- Completion of 12 college credit hours, including English Composition with a minimum grade of C and an overall GPA of 2.0 or higher (transcripts verified).
- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication abilities; willingness to work flexible hours and proactively anticipate patient needs.
Required skills
- CPR certification.
- Training in patient care skills, crucial conversations, and hospitality in healthcare.
