Patient Care Tech I – Night Shift (2nd Floor Rehab)

About the role

The Patient Care Tech I works the night shift on the 2nd Floor Rehab unit, providing direct support to patients and their families. This role is essential for ensuring basic care, hygiene, and monitoring are consistently delivered.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living activities, hygiene, and mobility.
• Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team.
• Maintain clear communication with patients, families, and staff.
• Collaborate with nurses and therapists to ensure comprehensive care.
• Participate in education sessions covering CPR, skills training, and hospitality in healthcare.

Required profile

• Minimum of 12 college credit hours, including a passing grade in English Composition (C or higher) and a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
• Healthcare or service‑industry experience preferred but not required.
• Willingness to work flexible night hours (6:30 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.).
• Strong organization, verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proactive problem‑solving and ability to anticipate patient needs.

Required skills

• CPR certification (provided through training).
• Ability to learn and apply new healthcare‑related skills.
• Effective teamwork and collaboration with the care team.
