Patient Care Tech I – Night Shift (2nd Floor Rehab)

About the role

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) provides essential bedside support to patients and families on the 2nd Floor Rehab during the night shift. This role focuses on basic patient care, monitoring, hygiene, and ensuring that care plans are fully executed while maintaining compassionate communication.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients and families with daily care activities, hygiene, and monitoring.
• Ensure all aspects of the prescribed care plan are completed accurately.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the broader healthcare team.
• Participate in on‑the‑job education such as CPR and hospitality training.

Required profile

• Completion of at least 12 college credit hours, including a passing grade (C or higher) in English Composition and an overall GPA of 2.0 or greater (transcripts will be verified).
• Healthcare or service‑industry experience preferred but not required.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and the night shift.
• Strong organization, verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to learn new healthcare skills, collaborate with the care team, and proactively address patient needs.
