About the role
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) works on the night shift in the 3rd Floor Rehab department, providing basic patient care, monitoring, and hygiene support. The role is essential to the patient care team, requiring compassion, strong communication, and the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
Key responsibilities
- Assist patients and families with daily care tasks, hygiene, and monitoring.
- Ensure that patient care is complete and documented accurately.
- Communicate patient needs and observations to the broader healthcare team.
Required profile
- 12 college‑level credit hours including a passing grade in English Composition (C or higher) and a minimum overall GPA of 2.0 (transcripts verified).
- Willingness to work flexible night hours (6:30 pm – 7:00 am) and 72 hours bi‑weekly.
- Good organization, verbal and written communication skills.
Required skills
- CPR certification (provided).
- Training in healthcare skills, Crucial Conversations, and Hospitality in Healthcare (provided).
